Bejeweled 2: New iPhone and iPod Touch Features

    By Shane | August 21, 2008

PopCap Games has listened to its Bejeweled 2 fans and is going to deliver four of the most requested player features and enhancements for iPhone and iPod touch.

Check out the new features in Bejeweled 2 for the iPhone:

    • Endless Mode: A popular game mode from PopCap’s Mac/PC version that allows gamers to enjoy limitless gameplay without ever hitting No More Moves.

    • High Scores: A feature that allows players to retain their high scores for both Action and Classic mode. It also tracks the user rank and lifetime stats, including best lifetime score, overall number of gems collected, overall time played, and more.

    • Music System: An option that enables players to listen to iPod music during gameplay. Controlled from the settings menu, players can choose to activate game sound effects, or turn them off.

    • Battery and Clock Info Bar: An option that displays battery life data and time when the game is paused from the options or pause menu.

Finally a little bit of facts on Bejeweled on the iPhone:

Nearly five million users have already played the free version of Bejeweled created specifically for the Safari browser on the iPhone, and hundreds of millions more have played the PC, online and console versions. Consumers have enjoyed more than six billion hours of the Bejeweled franchise across more than a dozen platforms from iPods to seatbacks on leading airlines.
